Global city: Construction details
The Global city project comprises residential zones, industrial clusters and commercial sites. It will be developed as a futuristic business centre.
Around 500 acre will be allotted for residential and commercial complexes and industrial clusters and the remaining area will be available for the construction of roads, sewer lines, utility tunnels, and fire-fighting systems, and other amenities.
The upcoming project will include a utility tunnel beneath the roads, a first-of-its-kind facility in India. The tunnel will be utilised for catering to all types of utilities such as electricity lines, water pipelines and telephone network lines. Owing to this tunnel, there will be no need for road digging in the future.
Global city: Amenities
The Global city project has been conceptualised as a self-sufficient township, with emphasis on modern technology and future-oriented industries, low-carbon green infrastructure, ease of living, skilling of people and job creation. Dedicated pathways for walkers and cyclists will be available in the township.
Global city: Connectivity
The project will have connectivity to New Delhi and other localities in Gurgaon. NH-48, which connects Delhi to Jaipur, and Central Peripheral Road are in proximity. The project will also be accessible from Pataudi Road.
As per officials, the development of interstate and intercity bus terminal and an integrated multi-modal transit hub will be undertaken in the vicinity.
Different modes of public transportation, such as the Gurgaon-Bawal metro corridor, will pass through the township.
Under the second phase of the project, an additional 500 acres will be constructed. It will include the metro corridor.
