Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 ridership
Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 recorded a ridership of 44.26 lakh passengers in the first month of its operations. In week one after inauguration, 1.40 passengers traveled in these metros. As per the ridership data, average daily ridership on Metro Lines 2A and 7 is over 1.47 lakh with highest ridership recorded in the routes Gundvali and Magathane on Metro Line 7 and Andheri West, Dahisar East and Anand Nagar on Metro Line 2A.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Mumbai Metro lines 2A and 7 on January 19, 2023. Modi boarded the Metro from the Gundavali station and took a ride of the metro.
Modi travelled from Gundavali to Mogra and back in the newly-inaugurated Mumbai Metro train.

Mumbai Metro lines 2A and 7 will be made operational by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) from January 20, 2023.
Trial runs for both the 2A and 7 lines started from October 2022. A final rolling stock and signaling inspections is pending after which the commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) will give his go-ahead. Mumbai metro lines 2A and 7 have been granted CMRS certificates, the safety certificate for commercial operations.
With these two metro lines, Mumbai will have a total of 3 metro lines that are operational namely the Blue line, Yellow line and Red line.
Maha Mumbai Metro Operations Corporation Ltd (MMMOCL) estimates daily ridership of around 300,000 passengers once operations start on both these lines.
Phase-1 of the Mumbai Metro Line 2A and Line 7 was inaugurated on April 2, 2022. While Line 2A operates between Dahisar and Dhanukarwadi, Mumbai Metro 7 operates from Dahisar to Aarey colony. Average daily ridership of 30,000 passengers has been recorded by MMMOCL, which takes care of the metro operations and maintenance.

Mumbai Metro Line 2A and 7: Timings
The first metro on Line 2A will start from Andheri West at 5.55 am and the last train was at 9.24 pm. The first metro on Line 7 will start from Gundavali station at 6 am and the last train was at 9.24 pm. However, with increase in people demand, the Mumbai Metro Line 2 A and 7 timing has been extended with services from Andheri to Dahisar at 10.20 pm and 10.30 pm. Similarly, last train from Gundavali to Dahisar via Dahanukarwadi will be 10.20 pm and 10.30 pm.

The Mumbai Metro ticket fare is based on the distance travelled. The ticket fare for Mumbai Metro Line 2A and Line 7 is Rs 10 for 3 km. Maximum fare for the Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 is Rs 50.
