Water supply in several areas of Delhi will be affected in the evening of September 13, 2022, and the morning of September 14, 2022, due to maintenance work, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) informed on September 12, 2022.
The DJB, a government agency responsible for supplying potable water in the national capital, has advised the residents of Delhi to make store water in advance as per their requirements. The DJB said that water tanker facilities would be available upon request.
Water supply in the listed areas may not be available, or it may be available at low pressure during that time, according to an official release by the DJB. As per the release, “Due to interconnection of loop line laid by DMRC from Bhagirathi WTP to Gokulpuri Flyover with 1200 mm dia Tahirpur main, water supply of the following colonies or areas will not be available or will be available at low pressure in the evening of 13.09.2022 and morning of 14.09.2022.”
The localities that will see a disruption in the water supply are:
- Northeast Delhi
- Sonia Vihar
- Karawal Nagar
- Dilshad Garden
- Nand Nagari
- Yamuna Vihar
- Shiv Vihar
- Harsh Vihar

The DJB officials have said that the water situation will be constantly monitored, and efforts are being made to rationalise the water supply. Residents can contact the relevant authorities at the central control room on 011-23527679, 23634469 in case of any emergency related to water requirements.
